ABOUT

Bay Street Brass performs lively and energetic music that is perfect for dancing, with a focus on Traditional Jazz and contemporary New Orleans Brass Band styles, as well as bits of Ska, Reggae, and other genres.

We are based in Port Melbourne, VIC, Australia, and formed the band in June 2022.

Alto Saxophone - Chris Pullar

Clarinet - Abigail Michell (temporarily away)

Keyboard/Tambourine - Damien Zammit

Banjo/Guitar - Graham Davidge (temporarily away)

Drums - Tim De Gier, Trevor Townsend

Friends are temporarily filling in on sousaphone/tuba. Some others are away for long holidays or work.

Join Bay Street Brass

We would like to add: banjo and sousaphone; plus another: clarinet, alto sax, bari sax, and trombone; plus back-ups fill-ins for all other instruments.

We rehearse on the first, third, and fifth (when there is a fifth) Wednesday of each month from 6-8 pm in Port Melbourne. We are located near public transportation (tram and bus) and free street parking. We pride ourselves on being friendly and supportive, and welcome musicians of all ages and skill levels to join us.
